NaNoWriMo

What is NaNoWriMo?

National Novel Writing Month is a yearly event for writers. Every November writers come together to fill 50,000 words into their books.

However, there are two more events every year; this is called “Camp NaNoWriMo”. Camp is every April and July and writers come together again and write more words, this time they chose their own target to hit. Some may be a few thousand words, some may try and go for the 50k again.

As of July 2020, I have participated in the November NaNoWriMo seven times, and Camp three times. July 2020 will be my fourth Camp.

Below is the work I did while in the various NaNoWriMo’s as well as the current NaNoWriMo and its target. I used to love the website but it has been going rather downhill after they ‘revamped’ it.

“Entitled”

Thanks to Kate Cavanaugh of the youtube Channel linked, I finally tried the “Save the Cat” method of outlining. I highly suggest following her as she is an amazing writer, an amazing YouTuber!

I am a Plotter but I am rather loosely planning this one, pantsing my way through this.

The basic concept for this novel is as follows: The only daughter in a mid-tier merchant family is thrust into the world of Sorcery, Thievery, and Death!
